Great Plains College and the Swift Current Rotary Club Partner to Develop Language Lab

The Swift Current Rotary Club is pleased to announce that they have donated $50,000.00 to Great Plains College for the development of a Language lab which will be sited at the Swift Current campus.

This generous donation will be used for the capital costs for the room and for the set-up of the computers and software in the room.  This partnership with the Swift Current Rotary Club is a perfect fit with Rotary's initiative in Literacy and Language.

"We are thrilled with the investment in this valuable infrastructure. We will be able to serve the increasing demands for English as a Second Language training as well as for other language classes and literacy based study within this modern facility," stated President of Great Plains College, Mark Frison, "We thank the Rotary for recognizing this need and investing to support learners in our region."

As a part of the Swift Current campus renovation and expansion project, the language lab will be located on the 2nd floor and is expected to open in January 2011.
