Workplace Skills Training

Back to Work Program

This project is intended to assist rural people ages 55 to 64 to secure long-term attachment to the labour market through counseling, career planning, portfolio development, developing and implementing an action plan including any required training and education components, Resume development, interview practice and job search assistance.

This program is a partnership between HRDC Canada, Saskatchewan Advanced Education, Employment and Labour, and the Regional Colleges.

Customized Training

Great Plains College can customize any course to your workplace’s needs and in most cases can deliver courses specifically for your workers either at our campuses or at your place of work.

Workplace Essential Skills (WES)

WES stands for Workplace Essential Skills. Essential Skills are the skills needed for work, learning and life. They provide the foundation for learning all other skills and enable people to evolve with their jobs and adapt to workplace change.

Great Plains College partners with employers to assess, identify and assist individuals (and/or groups of employees) that require support in achieving the level of WES needed for their workplace.
