• Provides a wide array of quality programming with reasonable classroom sizes, plenty of one-on-one instructor time, and hands-on learning with an opportunity to utilize learned skills.
• Works with employers through visits to stay informed of labour market needs, and through generating opportunities (such a field trips, employer luncheons, and work practicums) for students and employers to make connections.
• Offers a generous scholarship program that is easy to access and may pay up to full tuition! In 2008-2009, Great Plains College expects to give out close to $150,000.00 in student scholarships.
• Supports athletes, with Great Plains SunDogs varsity teams in men’s and women’s volleyball and basketball. Part of the Prairie Athletic Conference League, teams travel throughout the province to compete in tournament style play. And we also offer athletic scholarships!
• Provides many opportunities to be involved in campus life, including student association, social activities, special events, and campus recreation sports! We believe in a well-rounded student experience.
